Newcastle United’s Alan Pardew and Tim Krul have won the manager and player of the month awards for November, writes BBC Sport.

Alan Pardew

The 52-year-old guided the Magpies to an unbeaten month, beating Chelsea, Tottenham, Norwich and West Bromwich Albion, conceding just two goals in the process. The successful month saw Newcastle rise up to seventh in the Premier League table.

It was Alan Pardew’s second time receiving the monthly award, as his side travels to Old Trafford on Saturday.

Tim Krul picked up the Player of the Month Award making it a Newcastle double, having kept two clean sheets in four matches.

The stand-out performance of the month was the Dutchman’s display at White Hart Lane which earned Newcastle all three points after a series of stunning saves to keep Spurs out.

Krul had a fantastic month in November, but December has already started differently for the 25-year-old after conceding three at Swansea in the week and facing a tough trip to Old Trafford on Saturday.
