Top 5 Players to watch in Week 15 of the Premier League

By Stephen Donovan

Friday 06 December 2013

As we near the festive period, Premier League squads are being rotated and injuries are beginning to set in. Here are the top 5 players to watch in week 15.

Luis Suarez

Luis Suarez

The Uruguayan was in simply sensational form for Liverpool against Norwich City on Wednesday, scoring four wonderful goals in a devastating performance. On Saturday, he faces the stronger and more organised defence of West Ham United, but looks certain to pose them problems, with the quality he possesses. A record of 13 goals in his 10 appearances this season suggests that.

Youssouf Mulumbu

West Bromwich Albion missed Mulumbu on Wednesday as they lost at home to Manchester City, and they have had to deal with transfer speculation regarding the 26-year-old since then. He returns to face Norwich City on Saturday, and his presence always gives the Baggies some extra momentum, particularly in the midfield battle.

Yaya Toure

Yaya Toure

With two goals at West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday, Toure continued the excellent form that he has been showing this season. He faces a busy afternoon at Southampton on Saturday, with the Saints appearing to be arguably the hardest working team in the Premier League. Toure will play a major role if Man City are to collect their second straight away win.

Bryan Oviedo

Brought in for only his second Premier League start for Everton against Stoke City on Saturday to deputise for the injured Leighton Baines, Oviedo has made an immediate impression, scoring two in two games, including the winner at Manchester United on Wednesday. Could he do it again at leaders Arsenal?

Javier Hernandez

Javier Hernandez

With Wayne Rooney suspended and Robin van Persie looking set to miss the game against Newcastle United through injury, Hernandez looks set to be given the responsibility to provide goals for the Premier League champions, who are finding things very difficult at present, currently 12 points off top spot. The Mexican is one of the best goal poachers around, and is certainly capable of delivering.
