Chelsea eye Inter star Guarin in Demba Ba exchange
Inter Milan are hoping to raise funds in order to dip into the January transfer window, with Fredy Guarin the first to be shipped out of the San Siro, writes Calciomercato.it
The Colombian midfielder has sparked up interest from Jose Mourinho’s side and with Inter requiring the money to spend elsewhere in January, a move to Stamford Bridge is looking the more likely for Guarin.
Reports suggest that Chelsea would like to reach an agreement that would see Demba Ba going in the opposite direction, having started just twice in the Premier League under Mourinho this season. Contact has been made between the two clubs, but no detailed negotiations are currently underway.
With Chelsea being the only club to have made firm contact regarding Guarin and the player’s agent on the way to Milan, the January move is viewing extra prone.
Gaurin, 27, has made 47 appearances for Inter, scoring seven times. He signed for the club from Porto following a short loan spell in 2012, when he made just six appearances.
