Hull vs Fulham - Premier League preview and team news
Saturday 28 December 2013
Fulham will be looking to build on their Boxing day success with a win against Hull City, who gave Manchester United a mighty scare.
Hull will have come away from that game with mixed emotions. They will be very frustrated at losing from a winning position, but highly encouraged by their display as they more than matched the champions and deserved a point for their efforts, which was testament to the progress they have made on their return to the Premier League after three seasons away.
Scott Parker was the hero for Fulham as they continued to have the Indian sign over Norwich City, and the victory was even more crucial due to three point hauls for Crystal Palace and Sunderland. They are now just four points behind their opponents, summing up the exceedingly tight nature of the Premier League’s bottom half.
The hosts are likely to be without Allan McGregor and David Meyler, who were both forced off at half time on Boxing Day. Alex Bruce is also a doubt.
David Stockdale will continue in goal for Fulham in place of the injured Maarten Stekelenburg, but Dimitar Berbatov should recover from injury in time to feature.
