Everton manager Roberto Martinez is considering whether to allow Nikica Jelavic to leave the club, after confirming that two unnamed clubs had made enquiries for the striker, writes Sky Sports.

Nikica Jelavic

Jelavic is out-of-favour at Goodison Park, with Chelsea loanee Romelu Lukaku regularly preferred as the lone striker. He has been at the club since January 2012 when he joined from Rangers, and after a great start to life on Merseyside, he is now finding goals exceptionally hard to come by.

The Croat, who has not scored in any of his eight appearances this season, having not started for Everton since September. The 28-year-old is keen to earn more playing time, with the World Cup coming up next summer, where Croatia will be involved in the opening match against hosts Brazil in Sao Paulo.

West Ham United have been linked with a move for Jelavic, and Martinez admits that there is interest in the player. He said: "We've had a couple of enquiries from two different clubs for one of our players. Nikica Jelavic is someone who we have made it very clear to - we've had a conversation and he has the World Cup around the corner.

"He needs to be playing minutes and we understand that. We'll always try to give it a good assessment of the situation but that's not affecting anyone at the club.’
