Arsenal prepare another move for Lyon midfielder Grenier
Arsenal look set to make a second move for Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier, according to The Mirror.
The Gunners were linked with Grenier back in the summer, having also been reportedly interested back in 2008, but were ultimately unsuccessful in their efforts on both occasions. Lyon are now reportedly ready to listen to offers in the region of €12-15m, and former Arsenal star – and current scout – Giles Grimandi is said to be keeping a close eye on developments at Stade de Gerland.
Grenier is said to be happy at Lyon and remains committed to turning out top performances for his employers, but interest from one of Europe’s top clubs seems sure to interest the 22-year-old.
Grenier has spent his whole career to date at Lyon, with the exception of his first five years as a youth player at FC Annonay. He has also represented France at every level from U-16 onwards, having first pulled on the blue shirt in 2007 at U-16 level, where he scored one goal in six appearances.
Following several years playing at different levels for his country, he made his senior debut in 2013.
