West Ham midfielder Morrison wants to join Fulham
Ravel Morrison has told West Ham United that he would like to leave the club in January to join their London rivals, Fulham, according to Goal.com.
The former Manchester United youngster has been at West Ham since 2012, but has only broken into the first-team setup this season. Despite some good performances and seven goals in his 19 appearances, the England U-21 international has found himself in a struggling side which now lies second from bottom in the Premier League.
West Ham are reportedly ready to cash in on Morrison, who has a £18m release clause in his contract, and the player has informed manager Sam Allardyce that he would like to move to Craven Cottage, where he would receive a £15,000 wage increase, and reunite with Rene Meulensteen, who was part of the coaching team during his time at Man Utd.
Fulham have already declared their interest in the 20-year-old, making an approach, as well as preparing an offer of £5m plus add-ons. And with West Ham struggling to make progress in their attempts to extend Morrison’s contract, they are confident of making their first January signing.
