BT Sport have announced their televised FA Cup fourth round fixtures schedule, and arguably the most intriguing game on the list will feature Arsenal doing battle with former Premier League outfit Coventry City.

BT Sport

Coventry’s fortunes have dwindled since playing their last game in the same league as Arsenal way back in 2001, having spent the previous 34 years in the top tier of English football. They currently find themselves in League One, but under the management of former player Steven Pressley they do harbor hopes of climbing back up the leagues, currently sitting six points away from the playoff spots.

Arsenal, meanwhile, will host the Sky Blues in the hopes of continuing their almost nine-year long search for silverware, having last won an honour by lifting this very trophy in 2005.

The Gunners will be firm favourites, but the magic of the FA Cup has already produced one League One side toppling a Premier League host when Sheff United – themselves a former Premier League outfit – defeated Aston Villa on the first weekend of domestic football in 2014.

Coverage of that game starts at 7pm on Friday 24th January, but it is one of three FA Cup fourth round games to be seen live on BT Sport. Stevenage take on Everton on 25th January (show starts at 4.45pm), with the aforementioned Blades hosting either Fulham or Norwich the following day. That show starts at noon with a 1pm kickoff.

Shocking. Moving the Arsenal game to a Friday but having the Stevenage game prime time Saturday? What are you playing at?
