Zaha wants loan move as he fights for World Cup place
Manchester United youngster Wilfried Zaha is desperate for a loan move in a bid for a place in England’s World Cup squad, reports the Daily Telegraph.
With the news that Arsenal wide-man Theo Walcott is set to miss the tournament through injury, Zaha believes a loan move will help give him a place on the plane to Brazil. The 21-year-old winger has only made three substitute appearances for the Red Devils this season
after his big money move from Crystal Palace in the summer.
Zaha, who was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson last year, has been overlooked by new manager David Moyes, who has preferred playing Belgian starlet Adnan Januzaj instead.
He has already figured for England this season making a substitute appearance in the friendly against Scotland in August, but has only played for the under-21s since, due to his lack of game time at United.
Despite not being told he can leave yet, there are a number of Premier League sides ready to take Zaha on loan, including Cardiff City and Newcastle United.
If he is to get a loan move, Zaha will be up against the likes of Andros Townsend and Raheem Sterling, who have both impressed for their respective clubs this season.
