Patrice Evra is looking set to leave Manchester United when his contract expires at the end of June, having not yet been offered a new deal, the Guardian has reported.

There has been speculation over Evra’s long-term future at Man Utd throughout David Moyes’ time in charge, with the Scot having made a high-profile bid for Everton left-back Leighton Baines, which was turned down. Southampton youngster Luke Shaw is also reported to be a target.

The 32-year-old Evra has been a regular for much of his time at Old Trafford, where he arrived in January 2006. He has since gone on to score nine goals in 362 appearances, and he has helped win five Premier League titles, and the Champions League in 2008.

Should Evra leave the club at the end of the season, his former club Monaco may be a possible destination, with his regular place in the Man Utd starting line-up unlikely to be assured for much longer.

There are indications that some of Man Utd’s other long-serving senior players could be moving on to pastures new in the summer, with captain Nemanja Vidic’s agent appearing to suggest that the Serb will not be handed a contract extension, while fellow defender Rio Ferdinand is said to be considering leaving the Premier League champions.
