Cardiff's Solskjaer to continue transfer market activity after signing former Man United duo
Cardiff City manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has signed two former Manchester United starlets, and is looking to continue strengthening his squad, according to Wales Online.
The Norwegian added to the purchase of Magnus Wolff Eikrem earlier this week with a deal for teenage midfielder Mats Moller Daehli from his former club Molde.
“He’s a joy to watch,” said Solskjaer. “He did really well in the Under-18s at United, fantastic for me when I brought him to Molde and outstanding on his debut for Norway against Denmark.”
Daehli joined the Red Devils as a youngster, however failed to make much of an impact before Solskjaer brought him to Norway.
The 40-year-old has already had a £2.5m bid for ex-United striker Mame Diouf turned down by Hannover as he looks to strengthen his relegation-threatened squad.
The Welsh side are also looking to bolster their squad further by continuing to exploit the boss’ Old Trafford links with a potential loan deal for Wilfried Zaha in the works.
Now Solskjaer will be hoping to turn around the fortunes of his new side as he did with Molde in the Norwegian League, continuing with the next match away to Manchester City.
