Juventus star Pogba denies Man United return rumours
Wednesday 15 January 2014
Former Manchester United youngster Paul Pogba has rejected the opportunity of a return to Old Trafford due to the treatment he received under previous boss Sir Alex Ferguson, according to The Independent.
The midfielder, who is currently at Italian giants Juventus, is wanted by current United manager David Moyes, who was spotted with first-team coach Jimmy Lumsden in Cagliari on Sunday to see Juventus's 4-1 win. Pogba’s excellent performances in Italy have recently linked the Frenchman with a return to his former side.
Due to the apparent treatment he received under Ferguson during his spell in Manchester, however, Pogba has made it clear that there is no chance of a return while the Scotsman remains at Old Trafford.
The Independent has stated that it was Ferguson’s reluctance to believe in the 20-year-old as well as limiting his first-team chances whilst he was there, as the reason Pogba has rejected any return.
Pogba was only given 67 minutes of first team action by Sir Alex and eventually rejected a new contract at United before making the move to Juventus.
The French international is a huge hit in Italy, and his performances have seen him make seven appearances for the French senior team.
With a move to United now categorically ruled out, Pogba looks set to remain at Juventus, though PSG are reported to be eyeing a move for the midfielder.
