Chelsea confident of winning the title, says Ramires

Wednesday 22 January 2014

Chelsea midfielder Ramires has told of his desire to win his first Premier League winners’ medal, and believes that his side are growing more confident of ending the season on top,

Sky Sports has reported.

Ramires

The Brazilian joined Chelsea in the summer of 2010, shortly after the club’s most recent title win, but despite playing a major part in winning the FA Cup, the Champions League and the Europa League during his time at Stamford Bridge, Ramires is determined to add the Premier League to that list.

He also thinks that Chelsea’s recent form has helped confidence to grow among the squad. Sunday’s 3-1 win over Manchester United was their fifth three-point haul in succession, and that form leaves them third in the Premier League, just two points behind leaders Arsenal, who have also won their last five games.

Ramires said: "We are now even more confident after that game that we can reach our goal of winning the Premier League, that would be even more special to me as I have never won that title.’
