Wigan vs Crystal Palace - Match preview and team news

FA Cup holders Wigan Athletic continue the defence of their trophy with a home tie against Crystal Palace in the fourth round.

The Latics needed a replay and extra time to prevent a dogged and determined Milton Keynes Dons from ending their FA Cup campaign at the first hurdle, but victory continued what has been a very good start overall for new manager Uwe Rosler, who replaced the unfortunate Owen Coyle in December. They are still heavily fancied to make the play-offs, but those hopes received a setback last time out against Doncaster Rovers.

Crystal Palace picked up a crucial win over Stoke City in their previous league outing, and it moved them out of the relegation zone having started the afternoon bottom of the Premier League. Tony Pulis is intent on keeping the Eagles in the top-flight, so he could make wholesale changes here, particularly after a recent study showed that he has the biggest squad in Europe at his disposal.

Josh McEachran could make his Wigan debut after joining on loan from Chelsea, while Callum McManaman and Roger Espinoza could earn recalls.

Glenn Murray and Jack Hunt are long-term absentees for Crystal Palace are also still without midfielders Kagisho Dikgacoi and Jerome Thomas.
