Stoke and Cardiff plot swap deal involving Odemwingie and Jones
Stoke and Cardiff are currently in talks over a deal about a possible swap for players Kenwyne Jones and Peter Odemwingie, according to Sky Sports.
Odemwingie joined the Welsh club in the summer from West Brom for £2m, but could be making an early exit from the side after failing to make a real impression at the club, scoring just two goals in 15 appearances
In return Cardiff could gain the big Trinidadian, who joined Stoke from Sunderland in 2010, and has struggled to make an impact under Mark Hughes.
The 29-year-old has started just four Premier league games for Stoke this season and is yet to score but could be given a chance to improve his fortunes with a move to Wales.
Potters boss Hughes recently fined Jones two weeks’ wages for a breach of discipline after he allegedly refused to play against Liverpool because of his desires to leave the club, with Everton the club linked with a move at the time.
It is understood that Hughes would favour the deal if he could gain Odemwingie in return for the striker he would be losing.
