Paulinho eager to get back to his best for Tottenham
Tottenham midfielder Paulinho has admitted that he was frustrated when injury disrupted his good form for his club and now he is eager to return, according to TottenhamHotspur.com.
The Brazil international picked up an injury late on in the 3-0 win against Stoke in December but was on a run of fine form, but picked up where he left off with a goal in a recent friendly against West Ham.
“I’m happy to be back, to score and now I have to work hard in training and do my best to give the manager another option,” said Paulinho. “I will work hard and see how it goes.
“I had an injury against Stoke, a difficult situation for me because I never had that injury before.
“But I’ve only missed a few games with that injury and now I’m back.”
The midfielder has missed four games since taking a knock but managed 60 minutes in a behind-closed-doors friendly against the Hammers on Thursday.
Spurs ended the game with a comfortable 3-0 scoreline in which Paulinho grabbed a goal on his return to playing action.
Now the 25-year-old is on the road to a return to first team football and his manager Tim Sherwood will hope he can continue his good form for the club.
