Crystal Palace vs Hull - Premier League preview and team news
Crystal Palace will be looking for their second straight home win when Hull City, who have the Premier League’s joint worst away record, visit Selhurst Park.
Tony Pulis was named Crystal Palace on the day of the reverse game with Hull, and his appointment has been the catalyst for a complete change of fortune since November, when they looked relegation certainties. As it stands, there is still work to be done, but victory over Stoke City in their previous Premier League outing reinforced the belief that Pulis could be the man to preserve the Eagles’ top-flight status.
While Crystal Palace have been on good form over the last two months, there may be growing concerns at Hull, whose recent form has been decidedly shaky, with defeat at Norwich City coming as a major blow to their hopes of remaining in mid-table security. On the bright side, the two strikers who have recently been brought in by Steve Bruce do look capable of scoring the goals the Tigers so badly need.
Jerome Thomas could return after several weeks out for Crystal Palace, though he faces a fitness test along with Kagisho Dikgacoi. Jonathan Parr is likely to miss out after being injured during the FA Cup defeat at Wigan Athletic.
For Hull, Tom Huddlestone returns after a one-match ban, while Shane Long could make his debut. James Chester and Sone Aluko are still out.
