Tottenham Hotspur winger Nacer Chadli is set for talks with Swansea over a possible loan move to the club, according to Sky Sports.

Swansea tried to buy the 24-year-old in the summer but were beaten to the player’s signature by Spurs who paid £7 million to land him from FC Twente.

The Welsh side have now made a deadline day move for the player about a possible loan move to the Liberty Stadium.

Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood had previously insisted that the London club would not let any more players leave following midfielder Lewis Holtby’s loan exit to Fulham, but could be prepared to allow Chadli to move on transfer deadline day.

The Belgian international joined Spurs last summer but has failed to nail down a regular starting place at White Hart Lane, only starting eight Premier League matches for his club this season.

Swansea currently sit in 11th place, just five points away from the relegation zone after just one win in their last nine Premier League matches and will be looking to add attacking options to the side.

Chadli will look at the move to Wales as a chance to keep alive his dreams of playing in the World Cup finals this summer.
