Norwich manager Hughton not setting points target
Norwich manager Chris Hughton will not set a points target for his team but still believes that they can avoid relegation this season, according to Sky Sports.
Norwich currently sit in 15th place in the Premier League table on 24 points but sit just two points above the relegation zone.
Despite how close all the teams in the bottom half of table are, the Canaries boss is not concerned with other teams and believes his side should focus on their own performances.
“All your efforts and what you do on a day-to-day basis must be focused on the games,” said Hughton.
“I don't know what it will take, but I am still confident and you have to be. It is important that no-one here panics.”
Norwich managed to secure four points in their last three games and despite losing 2-1 to Cardiff on Saturday, the manager was pleased with what he saw.
“You have to look at the positives. We made two errors but attacking-wise we showed some quality and certainly created chances and got the ball into the right areas,” added Hughton.
“There was no lack of effort or determination and we will need that for the rest of the season.”
The 55-year-old will now have to prepare himself for a visit from title contenders Manchester City in their next Premier league clash.
