West Ham vs Norwich - Premier League preview and team news

Tuesday 11 February 2014

Sam Allardyce's West Ham United will be looking to make it three wins in a row when they take on fellow strugglers Norwich City.

For the second week in succession, two Kevin Nolan goals were enough to hand the Hammers a vital win. He did not need Andy Carroll to provide the assists at Aston Villa, however, and the Liverpool-born midfielder's return to form has helped lift the club to 15th in the Premier League ahead of this crucial fixture.

Norwich slipped behind West Ham on goal difference on Saturday despite deservedly holding title-chasing Manchester City to a goalless draw. The Canaries even created chances to secure a shock win but, as has so often been the case this season, they were unable to take them. Nevertheless, it was a very useful point in their battle for survival.

Carroll is still suspended after his red card in West Ham's recent win over Swansea City, but Mohamed Diame and Joe Cole should return from injury.

The away side will hoping that Robert Snodgrass will be able to play apart, but fellow wingers Elliott Bennett and Jonas Gutierrez are both out.
