Eden Hazard has ruled out a Chelsea victory in the Champions League this season but believes if the Blues maintain their recent performances, they can top the Premier League come May, according to Sky Sports.

Speaking in an interview with L’Equipe, Hazard conceded there were too many better teams in Europe this year but disagreed with manager Jose Mourinho’s assertion Chelsea were not capable of winning the title.

“I don't think we'll win the Champions League this season because some teams are better than we are,” Hazard said.

“As for the Premier League, we'll see. If we play all our games like we did at City, we'll be champions.”

But far from starting a fight with Mourinho, Hazard revealed he has been mightily impressed by the Portuguese since he returned to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

“His record speaks for itself. No team had managed to win at City. So it's clear,” Hazard said.

“Those who still had doubts over his potential can stop. He has already shown he's the best manager in the world.”

Hazard moved to Chelsea in 2012, joining months after Chelsea claimed the Champions League title by beating Bayern Munich on penalties,

But the 23-year-old was part of the Chelsea side who won the Europa League last season, seeing off Benfica in the final. He’s made 95 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 27 goals.
