Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has suggested that Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris would be open to joining the Gunners, according to the Daily Mail.

The 27-year-old stopper is close friends with the Arsenal forward as well as an international teammate for France and has hinted that Lloris may be ready to make the switch across London.

Defender Laurent Koscielny, another member of France’s national side, has also proposed a move to the Emirates Stadium to Lloris.

“Have I asked him to join Arsenal? Yes, I have, with Lolo (Koscielny),” said Giroud.

“He would have liked to, he would quite like to. You will have to ask him the question.”

The Gunners currently sit in second, just one point off the top, whilst Spurs sit in fifth in a race to reach Champions League qualification.

Lloris joined Tottenham from Lyon in the summer of 2012, and having spent four years at the club. He’s made 54 appearances for Les Bleus.
