Cardiff vs Fulham - Premier League preview and team news
Cardiff City take on Fulham in a huge game at the bottom that has the potential to determine the fate of one, if not both sides.
There have been few encouraging signs for the Bluebirds during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first two months in charge. Last time out at Tottenham, they at least showed an improvement, with a battling display almost proving enough to earn a useful point, but once again they were let down by a lack of potency in front of goal. If Cardiff lose this, their situation would become even more critical, and an escape will begin to look very unlikely.
The same could be said about Fulham, who are without a win since New Year’s Day, and four points adrift of safety. Despite that, Felix Magath, their third manager this season, remains adamant that the Cottagers will haul themselves out of trouble. He will continue to work his team hard, but against Chelsea last time out, they were visibly tiring after a valiant effort, so fitness could be an issue.
Craig Noone should return for Cardiff after missing the trip to Spurs, but club captain
Fulham have several injuries to contend with. Damien Duff has been ruled out for the rest of the season, with Fernando Amorebieta and Scott Parker also sidelined. Magath must also decide whether to restore January signing Konstantinos Mitroglou to the match day squad.
