Norwich City will be aiming to continue their recent good home form with victory over Stoke City, who have only won once in their last 10 visits to Carrow Road.

Carrow Road

The pressure is on once again for the Canaries, who have struggled throughout the season to put a consistent run of results together. They have kept clean sheets in each of their last four home outings, but they let the standards slip dramatically at Aston Villa in their previous game, conceding four in a terrible 15-minute spell, and leaving them in need of a win here to ensure a reasonable cushion over the bottom three.

The visitors still need points in their quest to stave off any relegation worries, but they got a massive three points last time out. Jonathan Walters’ disputed late penalty was enough to ensure that the Britannia Stadium continued to be Arsenal’s least favourite venue, as well as lifting Stoke to 13th, six points clear of danger with 10 games to play. However, they still cannot really afford to lose this.

Leroy Fer will be out for several weeks for Norwich, who are also unable to call upon Elliott Bennett, Jonas Gutierrez and Michael Turner. Ricky van Wolfwinkel will be assessed.

Stoke are without Charlie Adam for three matches after he was found guilty of violent conduct by the FA. Peter Odemwingie could return, but Oussama Assaidi is facing a few more weeks out.
