Man City still favourites says Chelsea star Hazard

Monday 10 March 2014

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has echoed his managers beliefs that Manchester City still hold the advantage in what is becoming an ever closer Premier League title race, claiming they have ‘better players’, reports Sky Sports.

Hazard scored a penalty as Chelsea beat ten man Tottenham 4 - 0 to help his side open up a seven point lead at the top of the table, and a nine point advantage over title rivals City - although the Etihad side hold three games in hand over the Blues.

Should City win their three games over Chelsea their superior goal difference would mean they overtake the London side and reclaim top spot.

Jose Mourinho had claimed prior to the weekends game that the title was in fact Manchester City’s to lose, something Belgian Hazard has now also claimed.

Hazard told Belgian TV station Sporting Telenet: "Manchester City will become champions if they win all of their games. But if we get the chance, we will take it.

"We have enough quality to play for first spot, but City are still favourites as they have the better players.

"It's more difficult to be second or third with some games less as you have to win those games. We'll see what happens at the end.

City face a host of difficult games from now to the end of the season, with the likes of Manchester united, Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton all still to play, and Chelsea will be hoping some teams can take points off of City.
