A number of Premier League and foreign clubs are reportedly interested in Charlton’s Diego Poyet, according to Sky Sports.

Diego Poyet

The youngster, who is the son of Sunderland manager Gus Poyet, made the step into the Charlton first team this season and has been a key player for his club.

The 18-year-old is considered in high-regard with the Addicks despite only making a handful of appearances for the team.

The midfield man is also considered to have been one of the stand-out players for the side as they made their run to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Now a number of Premier League clubs, including Tottenham, West Ham and Fulham have taken an interest in the player’s talents.

Although it is not just English clubs that have an eye on Poyet, as European giants Barcelona and Inter Milan are reportedly interested in taking the Spanish-born youngster under their wing.

Poyet is out of contract at the end of the season and with his current deal expiring, it is sure to spark a hunt for the player’s signature.
