Taylor pleased by Swansea fight
Neil Taylor has said he was happy to see Swansea City dig deep against Arsenal and come away with a draw, ITV Sport has reported.
Swansea took the lead through Wilfried Bony, only for two quick Gunners goals to put Arsene Wenger’s side in front in the second half.
But a Mathieu Flamini own goal delivered a point for Garry Monk’s side and Taylor believes both the point gained and the fight on display will prove useful as the Premier League’s relegation battle comes to a climax.
“It just shows us we have got a bit of character and a bit of fight, and now we have got an extra point on the board which is encouraging,” Taylor said.
“We are playing in the Premier League, so every game is pressure,” the Wales international continued. “There are so many clubs that are picking up points here and there and it is not over by a long shot. I think both ends of the table will go right to the end of the end.”
Swansea remain 15th in the table after the draw at the Emirates Stadium, moving five points clear of the bottom three. The Swans have though played three games more than 18th-place Sunderland.
