Swansea vs Norwich - Premier League preview and team news

Friday 28 March 2014

Two teams who still have work to do to ensure Premier League survival meet on Saturday at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea will come into this game buoyed by their efforts at Arsenal, where a decent performance was rewarded by a somewhat fortunate late equaliser. That point could prove massive by the end of the season, but Garry Monk’s side need wins if they are to feel more comfortable, and they will see this game as a fine opportunity to pick up maximum points, with only five currently separating the Swans from the drop zone.

Victory over Sunderland in vital game saw Norwich City leapfrog Swansea and establish a seven-point gap between themselves and the bottom three. While their record on the road has been poor throughout the campaign, the Canaries’ home record is looking to be main reason why they can stay up, and Premier League survival is the main objective for Chris Hughton, who has had his critics this season.

The hosts have an almost fully-fit squad available, with defender Kyle Bartley the only notable absentee. Roland Lamah should return after missing the last two games.

For Norwich, this game is likely to come too soon for defender Michael Turner. Gary Hooper will be pushing for a recall, but Elliott Bennett and Leroy Fer are both out.
