Arsenal vs Man City - Premier League preview and team news

Manchester City will be aiming to keep up their considerable pressure on leaders Chelsea by adding to Arsenal’s recent misery.

Now almost certainly out of the title race, Arsenal are beginning to come under some pressure from Everton and Tottenham for fourth place. They still have a six point cushion, but the two points dropped due to conceding the unlucky equaliser against Swansea City on Tuesday was hardly ideal. And now, with the supporters appearing to show discontent again, this is another big game for manager Arsene Wenger.

The visitors come into this having returned to top form after some wobbles in February. Victory in the Manchester derby made it three in a row, and if they keep up the form they showed at Old Trafford for the remainder of the season, they will have an excellent chance of reclaiming the title, despite the injury to Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo’s recent problems in front of goal.

Arsenal are still without several key players. Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, Nacho Monreal, Mesut Ozil, Laurent Koscielny, Jack Wilshere and Abou Diaby are all sidelined.

Edin Dzeko should continue in attack for Man City with Aguero still injured. Matija Nastasic is also out, but Micah Richards could return after two weeks out with a muscle injury.
