Saido Berahino won’t take legal action against West Bromwich Albion teammate James Morrison after reports the forward was considering his position following a dressing room altercation, BBC Sport has said.

It is alleged that the West Brom players argued in the dressing room after the 3-3 draw with Cardiff City on Saturday. Albion had scored a late goal to go 3-2 in front but Cardiff were able to equalise after Berahino lost possession.

West Brom insisted that the incident was not a major event and attempted to play down what happened, but it was reported on Wednesday that Berahino wasn’t happy with his club’s stance and was considering pressing charges.

It’s understood now that Berahino won’t take legal action but remains unhappy with West Brom’s position. He suffered facial injuries in the altercation, the BBC adds, and no action was taken by the club against any of the players involved.

West Brom are 17th in the Premier League, three points ahead of Cardiff, who sit in the final relegation place. They play Norwich City on Saturday with the Canaries three points and two places better off.
