Norwich vs West Brom - Premier League preview and team news
Norwich City play West Bromwich Albion on Saturday in a meeting of two sides who are still very unsure of their Premier League futures.
Despite a nightmare run-in which includes games against four of the top seven, Norwich should have enough to stay in the Premier League. They currently have a six point cushion over the bottom three, and their home record so far in 2014 has been highly impressive, with no defeats and just one goal conceded. However, another poor away display at Swansea City ensured that doubts continue to linger at Carrow Road.
Of these two sides, West Brom look a much more likely bet to go down, given that they have won just once under Head Coach Pepe Mel and indeed just five times all season. Last time out, they blew a marvellous opportunity to move clear of the drop zone, conceding an equaliser to Cardiff City just seconds after scoring what appeared to be the winner, and stories about what happened in the dressing room afterwards could hardly have been helpful.
The home side are still unable to call upon winger Elliott Bennett and central midfielder Leroy Fer, while Joseph Yobo is a slight doubt.
West Brom welcome back central defender Jonas Olsson from suspension, but Chris Brunt is likely to be out for around three more weeks.
