The agent of Romelu Lukaku has revealed that Tottenham have been a talks with the striker over a possible summer move to White Hart Lane, according to Talksport.

Romelu Lukaku

Lukaku has rarely featured for parent club Chelsea since joining for nearly £20m in the summer of 2011, making only 15 appearances, without scoring.

However, he has enjoyed much success away from Stamford Bridge, scoring 17 last season while on a season-long loan to West Bromwich Albion. He has spent most of this season under Roberto Martinez at Everton, netting 13 goals in 26 outings.

Tottenham are currently short on strikers. Last summer’s £26m signing, Roberto Soldado, has struggled since making the move to England, while Emmanuel Adebayor and youngster Harry Kane are the only other options available to Head Coach Tim Sherwood.

It is now looking increasingly likely that Lukaku will be leaving Chelsea at the end of the season, although the Blues have set an asking price of at least £20m. The player’s agent admits that talks between Lukaku and Spurs are ongoing. He said: "I'm looking for a club for Romelu. And yes, I've talked to [Tottenham chairman] Daniel Levy once, but that doesn't mean Romelu will definitely join Spurs. That's not a talking point at this moment."
