Aurier keen on Arsenal move
Toulouse defender Serge Aurier has revealed he would be interested in moving to Arsenal this summer, Sky Sports has reported.
Aurier’s name has been linked to a number of sides in the Premier League, including Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Chelsea, who were said to have watched the 21-year-old in action recently.
But it is the prospect of moving to the Gunners that most excites Aurier, who also admitted he wants to leave Ligue 1 in future. “You cannot refuse Arsenal,” Aurier told Foot Mercato. “You can ask any player if he would play for Arsenal and I think he would respond positively without hesitation. Arsenal is the dream.
“[The interest from the Premier League] is good even if there is nothing concrete,” Aurier continued. “It doesn't leave me indifferent that my profile is of interest to ambitious clubs. But it doesn't distract me.
“Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco are building and, within two or three years, may be the best teams in the world. But I'm talking more in terms of the championship, I would like to see another championship. It is not a question of the level of teams, it's just that there are other interesting championships.”
Aurier began his career at Lens, moving to Toulouse in 2012. He has played more than 50 games for the club and is also an Ivory Coast international.
