Hull vs Arsenal - Premier League preview and team news

With the race to finish in the top four now very much back in their hands, Arsenal travel to Humberside for a dress rehearsal of May’s FA Cup final.

Hull made hard work of seeing off League One Sheffield United in their semi-final, but two early second half goals turned the game in their favour. They can now look ahead to the final but the Tigers will feel that a couple more points are still needed to make absolutely sure of safety, with the victory they achieved against Swansea City in their last league game having given them the breathing space they craved.

After a slow start, Arsenal eventually came on strong to beat West Ham United on Tuesday to regain fourth place. However, the result of the week for them was Crystal Palace getting the better of Everton at Goodison Park, which means the Gunners are now favourites to make the Champions League with just four games to go, and their run-in looks more desirable than that of the Merseyside club.

The home side are without Robbie Brady, Joe Dudgeon, Allan McGregor and Paul McShane for the rest of the season. Elsewhere, Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long return after being cup-tied for the FA Cup semi-final.

Serge Gnabry, Nacho Monreal and Mesut Ozil could be in contention to make the Arsenal substitutes’ bench, but Abou Diaby, Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott among others are still unavailable.
