Hull City face striker concerns

Hull City face injury concerns for strikers Shane Long and Sone Aluko for their remaining Premier League games, according to Sky Sports.

Shane Long

Aluko missed the 3-0 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday with a hamstring problem whilst Long had to be replaced at half time with a calf injury.

Hull are still fighting to stay in the Premier League this season and manager Steve Bruce admitted that he is unsure if the forwards will make a return before the end of the season.

"Long's got a calf injury," said Bruce. "We'll see how he is but he's got a whack to the back of his calf.

"He'll be touch and go for the weekend (away to Fulham), I would have thought."

"Sone Aluko unfortunately nicked a hamstring on Thursday," said Bruce. "It's unfortunate because we were just seeing Sone again.

"It's getting a bit too often with Sone, we get him up to speed and unfortunately he breaks down again and that's a disappointment.

"I think he's only played three 90 minutes this season so it's a real concern."

Hull currently sit just six points above the relegation zone with four games remaining and will now need to look to other striking options in their bid to secure Premier League football for next season.
