Arsenal and Man United target Toni Kroos has seemingly opened the door for a move to the Premier League after refusing to rule out the possibility of leaving Bayern Munich, reports The Daily Mail.

Toni Kroos

The 24-year-old German international, has 42 caps and five international goals to his name, has long since been a target for the two clubs, and has continued to refuse to commit his future to the European champions, despite former manager Jupp Heynckes’ recommendation that he should stay.

Heynckes stated earlier this week that he believes Kroos should stay put despite links with Old Trafford especially, both in England and on the continent, but the former Bayer Leverkusen loanee is yet to sign a new contract at the club, putting United and the Gunners on alert.

Kroos is known to respect his former manager Heynckes, calling him “the most important coach I have ever worked with,” before continuing the praise by saying: “His is one of a few opinions who I value very highly.”

He refused to commit either way, however, continuing by stating: “It is my future, and my decision.”

Kroos’ current deal expires at the end of next season, and so Bayern are very keen to tie him down to a new deal or risk losing him for nothing at that time – or cash in sooner to avoid losing him for nothing should Kroos state that he definitely wants to move on.

It is understood that negotiations have taken place, but have stalled over wages, and Barcelona and Real Madrid are also thought to be monitoring the midfielder’s situation at the Allianz Arena.
