Everton vs Man City - Premier League preview and team news
Manchester City will have the title very much in sight if they can beat Everton, with the hosts now looking unlikely to finish in the top four.
A disappointing performance and two own goals now leaves Everton needing to win both their remaining matches and rely on Arsenal to drop points unexpectedly if they are to make the Champions League. It is an unlikely prospect, which will disappoint Roberto Martinez despite an excellent first season in charge, but it will not stop him from going all out to beat the Citizens.
Supporters of Everton will be aware that victory for their side will go a long to helping bitter rivals Liverpool in their title push, and Man City will be extremely wary having lost each of their last four visits to Goodison Park. However, if they can take victory, they will fancy themselves to get over the line with games at home to Aston Villa and West Ham United to end the season.
For Everton, Martinez will hope to have central defensive duo Sylvain Distin and Phil Jagielka available after injury, but Gareth Barry is definitely out as he unable to face his parent club.
The visitors could be unchanged after their confident performance against Crystal Palace last time out, with Matija Nastasic, Jesus Navas and David Silva still out because of injury.
