Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed his delight at Saints’ away form this season ahead of their trip to Swansea on Saturday, according to Sky Sports.

Saints have won six and drawn five of their 18 away games, and could break their record Premier League points haul if they are able to take anything back to the south coast with them from Wales.

Pochettino believes that his side’s performances on the road have been key to the season which has seen them perform above expectations. At one stage they had a chance to go top of the league a few games into the campaign, and while that did not happen any fears that they would struggle this season have long since been dismissed.

Pochettino said: “I think we've done very well playing away from home. We've actually achieved a record number of victories that we've achieved away and the most important thing overall is that we've played well away and played in the same way.

“I think we've played with personality, we've played with a lot of maturity when playing both at home and away.

“We've played in the same way and that's something that should be highlighted because the team has shown both away and at home a maturity, and we're a team that can play with personality.”

Following Saints’ journey to Swansea, they host Man Utd on May 11 to round off the season.
