Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has said that he cannot believe that his side are in their current position and that winning the Premier League on goal difference again would be a ‘miracle’, Sky Sports reports.

The Sky Blues have managed to get their title destiny in their own hands again after Chelsea’s defeat of Liverpool means that winning their remaining games will ensure the trophy returns to the Etihad.

City last won the title in 2011/12 when they stole the title on goal difference on the final day of the season and could do the same again but Frenchman admits that he did not see this coming.

"We have to understand that now we are in this position," said Nasri.

"It's a miracle."

City have three games remaining, including a game in hand on title rivals Liverpool and Chelsea and winning all three will leave them ahead of Liverpool on goal difference, provided that the Reds also win their final games of the season.

Nasri insists that despite already securing the League Cup earlier this year, failure to win the Premier League would mean a disappointing season for the club.

"When you are the favourites it's really hard, but we cannot fail any more," Nasri added.

"We can't hide."
