Chelsea vs Norwich - Premier League preview and team news

Chelsea will be aiming to keep up the pressure on their title rivals when they take on a Norwich City side who will feel they cannot afford to lose.

Despite winning at Anfield with their much talked about tactics proving extremely effective, it would still take an unlikely set of results for the Blues to become champions. That would mean that Jose Mourinho’s first season back in charge will end without a trophy after they were outplayed by Atletico Madrid in their Champions League semi-final second leg, but they will not give up until it is mathematically impossible.

With a home encounter with Arsenal to finish the season, it is now beginning to look as if Norwich will have to produce two shock results if they are to avoid relegation to the Championship. Now in the bottom three after five straight defeats, they fell apart at Manchester United last time out in the manner of a side which does not look capable of staying up. A miracle is needed.

Petr Cech is unavailable for Chelsea and Ramires is suspended, but Marco van Ginkel could make his first appearance since August after recovering from a long-term injury.

Norwich have doubts over on-loan defender Joseph Yobo and winger Anthony Pilkington, while Gary Hooper could be recalled to the starting line-up.
