Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has refused to give up on the Premier League title and has said that his side will continue to fight to the end, according to BBC Sport.

Rodgers conceded the title to rivals Manchester City following their 3-3 draw to Crystal Palace on Monday but has now claimed they will not give up hope of the title.

Manchester City have a game in hand against Aston Villa on Wednesday and point will send the Sky Blues top of the table, but Rodgers is hoping there will be further twists and turns to come.

"You never know what can happen. I promise for the time I am here we will fight for our lives and we won't finish until Newcastle," Rodgers said.

Liverpool have not won the League title since 1990 and have come within a game of breaking the 24 year drought.

Despite being top of the Premier League table as it stands, the title is firmly in the hands of Manchester City who can wrap up the title by avoiding any slips ups in their remaining matches.

Rodgers also went on to add how striker Luis Suarez has been instrumental in the side’s title challenge and believes he thoroughly deserves the accolades he has received this season.

"He has thoroughly deserved it," added Rodgers. "As a team they have been outstanding but he has been absolutely phenomenal."
