Liverpool line-up move for Swansea stopper Vorm

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers could be in line to make a move for Swansea City goalkeeper Michel Vorm as they search for back up and competition to current number one Simon Mignolet, according to the Daily Mail.

The 30-year-old Holland international could be subject of a £5m bid from the Reds who look likely to offload on loan keeper Jose Reina once his loan spell ends at Napoli at the end of the season, after the Italian club announced their interest in making the transfer permanent.

It is also thought that Nottingham Forest’s Karl Darlow has been scouted by the Anfield club but Vorm is the preferred target having already played in the Premier League.

Swansea snapped up keeper Vorm for £1.5m back in 2011 and the Dutchman has impressed since his arrival in the Premier League.

During his first season he scooped up the club’s supporter’s player, player’s player and away player awards.

He has made 26 appearances this season due to injury but has managed seven of Swansea’s eight clean sheets this term.
