Silva: Pellegrini brings ‘joy and happiness’ to Man City
Manchester City midfielder David Silva has praised the impact of manager Manuel Pellegrini at the club and has said that he brings ‘joy and happiness’ to the side, Sky Sports reports.
City are close to securing a second Premier League title in three years, with the first coming under the reign of Roberto Mancini.
Despite the ex-boss sealing a Premier League and FA Cup double, Silva believes that Pellegrini has brought a calmness and happiness to the team.
"He's made it a happy place," said the Spanish playmaker. "He's brought a joy and happiness around the place.
"Also to our style of play. You see that in the way we play, attack-minded, lots of goals. He's made us competitive in every competition, we've gone further in them. He's given us that extra push and taken us one step further maybe.
"His calmness has been obvious. He's added that to the whole club. And it really helps us at difficult moments. It's nice to have that calm attitude around you when things get tough. That has suited us."
The Chilean has been praised for his attacking style of play in the Premier League which has seen his Manchester City side bag 100 goals this term.
The 28-year-old also went on to add that Pellegrini had really aided his development as a player and an individual, highlighting the impact the manager has on the team.
"Having Manuel here has helped me personally," added Silva. "It's been really good for me.
"He's suited me down to the ground. My style of play is more suited to an attacking style. He's helped me develop as a player. You always want to improve as an individual."
