Hazard wants to end Chelsea season on a high
Chelsea winger Eden Hazard is hoping to finish Chelsea’s season on a high with a win against Cardiff on the final day of the season, according to Sky Sports.
For the first time in three years Chelsea will end the season without a piece of silverware despite a positive season including a Champions League semi-final and a Premier League title challenge.
Despite missing out this year, Hazard is ready to build on this season and look to take home several trophies next year.
"The Premier League is objective number one and this season we were almost in the final of the Champions League, almost champions in the Premier League," said the Belgian.
"I hope next season will be better."
It's very important because we lost two points in the last game against Norwich and we need to finish with one victory for the fans.
"I hope for a good game and we want to enjoy on the pitch."
Hazard has been in fine form himself this season and claimed several accolades for his performances this year regardless of his trophy haul and will be disappointed if he cannot repay the fans by ending the season with a win.
Manager Jose Mourinho added that he also rued the points dropped against Norwich which effectively put them out of the title race, and now wants to remain focused on finishing the League season.
"You could see against Norwich it's difficult to find the right energy, the right mental approach when the season is over,” said the Portuguese boss.
"No more objectives. You know that you finish in that position. You know that you don't finish fourth, you know that you don't finish second. The season is over.
"Some players now they turn completely to the World Cup and to the fears before a World Cup. This is a real difficult moment to be at a high level.
"But of course you put on the shirt, you go for a Premier League game, you have to find the minimum required to perform and to try to get a good result."
