Liverpool eye moves for Moreno and Hazard
Liverpool are eying up a move for Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno, as they look to solidify their defence ahead of next season, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Brendan Rodgers' side were the surprise package in the Premier League this season, taking the title race until the final day before finishing second, and qualifiying for the Champions League in the process. However their defensive record was not good, conceding 51 goals, the same as West Ham, and more than Crystal Palace.
Liverpool have jose Enrique in that position, but the Spaniard has struggled through injury, and Rodgers is reported to be keen to improve in that area.
Moreno, 21, was impressive in Sevilla's Europa League campaign, that saw them defeat Benfica on penalties in the final on Wednesday, however the La Liga club are reported to want upwards of £15m for the youngster.
Meanwhile, the Anfield club are also reportedly interested in a move for Chelsea's Thorgan Hazard, brother of Eden, who has spent the last season on loan in Belgium. Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is thought to evaluating the promising youngster before deciding whether to move him on, and was spotted yesterday watching him play for Zulte Waregem.
