Shaw move to Man Utd edges closer

Luke Shaw’s potential move to Manchester United appears to have edged closer after the player himself started house hunting in the area, the Express is reporting.

It is thought terms of a mooted £27m move from Southampton are still being thrashed out but the youngster looks to have made his mind up that Manchester will be his new destination.

Shaw’s family had held concerns that the 18-year-old could struggle with a big move to a new city without his close knit family but it appears their reservations have been put to rest as they look to settle the England starlet further North from their current home in Surrey.

A source close to the family told the Mirror: “Luke is still only 18 and his family want everything to be right for him. Where he lives and how he adjusts to a new city is a big thing for them - but now they are convinced about the move.”

Shaw has played a big part in Southampton’s hugely successful season which saw them finish eight in the Premier League, having kept 15 clean sheets this season and making 33 league appearances.

He also played his part in Southampton at one stage this season holding the best defensive record in the Premier League, and the second across the whole of Europe.
