Bacary Sagna is reported to have quit Arsenal and signed a three-year contract with newly crowned Premier League champions Man City, according to The Metro.

Bacary Sagna

Sagna, who joined Arsenal in 2007 for €9m from Auxerre, had been offered a new two-year deal at the Emirates but, with his contract expiring this summer, the player has been widely linked with a move away, and indeed the player has previously admitted that he was unlikely to continue with Arsene Wenger’s men. City have been one of the clubs linked with the France international recently, and reports from French newspaper L’Equipe now claim that the deal is done. The terms of the contract are thought to be worth around £150k-per-week, which would almost double the wages he was earning in north London.

Nothing has been officially announced at the time of writing, but it is believed Sagna also looked at offers from Galatasaray, Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco – the latter two being in his native homeland – but favoured a stay in the Premier League.
