PSG manager Blanc admits he wants Chelsea star Hazard

Paris Saint-German could be looking to add a second Chelsea player to their ranks this summer, with manager Laurent Blanc admitting his admiration for Blues star Eden Hazard, according to The Daily Mail.

Eden Hazard

Luiz reportedly is set to complete a £50m move to the French champions ahead of the World Cup, and the deal would represent a world record transfer fee for a defender. Boss Blanc, however, does not now look likely to stop there, with the former Man Utd defender wanting attacking additions as well he has labelled Hazard “Plan A” for this summer’s recruitment.

When asked at a press conference about his opinion of Hazard, Blanc responded: “A player who can eliminate three, four players at any time a game is something else. We do not know what to expect with these players. They destabilise the opponent.

“Of course. There is also a Plan C. We will first focus on the areas of game where you want to recruit and propose three solutions. We know we want Plan A.”

Blanc, however, also admitted that successfully signing the Belgian international would be a tall order, stating that he “can love a player, knowing full well I cannot have him.”

Hazard moved to Chelsea in the summer of 2012 for a fee reportedly worth around £32m, and his impressive displays have won him many admirers, but with Chelsea intent on keeping one of their best players PSG would almost certainly have to stump up major cash to tease negotiations into beginning – and with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations having already hit the rich French outfit, it seems unlikely that even they could match Chelsea’s own valuation.
