Crystal Palace interested in two Tottenham players
Crystal Palace will approach Tottenham Hotspur over the possible signings of Michael Dawson and Gylfi Sigurdsson, the Daily Star has reported.
It’s claimed that Eagles manager Tony Pulis has identified the Spurs pair as his most-wanted players for the summer after guiding Palace to a mid-table finish last season. Palace were stranded at the foot of the table when Pulis replaced Ian Holloway but ended the campaign in 11th place, 12 points clear of the bottom three.
Dawson is the Tottenham captain and has made more than 200 appearances for the club since moving to White Hart Lane in 2005 from Nottingham Forest. He signed a new contract with the club in October.
Sigurdsson joined Tottenham from Hoffenheim in the summer of 2012, having spent time on loan at Swansea City and played for Reading before heading to Germany. He cost Spurs £8.8m but it’s claimed chairman Daniel Levy would be open to cashing in on the Iceland midfielder.
