Incoming Man Utd manager Louis van Gaal has targeted a £30m-double swoop on Dutch club Feyenoord for Netherlands internationals Jordy Clasie and Bruno Martins Indi, according to The Express.

The duo, who are both 22, were given their Netherlands senior debuts under van Gaal over the course of the past two years, and the incumbent boss could be set to give them a stage with which to show their potential in Old Trafford when he arrives following this summer’s World Cup.

Van Gaal is understood to have a very definite transfer strategy going into his United tenure, and has cooled any interest from the club in two former targets, Toni Kroos and Cesc Fabregas, who were both wanted during former manager David Moyes’ time at the Red Devils.

Southampton defender Luke Shaw and Dutch international Kevin Strootman are both players van Gaal is keen on, but he wants to kick off his reign with the capture of the Feyenoord pair.

Clasie has gone on to make almost 100 appearances for the club since making his debut in 2010, having spent a time on loan at Excelsior during his stint. He has won seven caps for the Dutch national team, all under van Gaal.

Martins Indi has exceeded the century of club appearances, and has 13 caps to his name since arriving on the international scene in 2012.
